1. The lobby was lovely, and full of the fascinating history of this almost 100-year-old hotel, but the room we stayed in for 3 nights looked as if it had been 'renovated' and painted by your nephew who you're trying to keep off the streets.

2. I love historic hotels, and safety, cleanliness, centrality, and affordability will often make me tolerate more 'funkiness' than the next traveler, but I'm afraid that I cannot recommend this hotel in Downtown Detroit.

3. This was my second stay at the milner, first stay was terrible but loved the location as i am usually in Detroit to goto either a tigers or lions game.
