6. Pros: Clean rooms (a bit worn but nice nonetheless), amazing breakfast with eggs to order and complimentary 'eye opener' fruit juice shots designed by super chef Georges Vongerichten.

7. The lobby is certainly a success though, with some nicely discrete seating areas and four late-model iMac computers for general use (also equipped with printers if you need to print out an airline boarding pass or something).

Even though I stayed there on a Priceline rate, the check-in clerk very nicely accommodated my request for a high-floor king-bed room away from the elevator, and consequently I ended up on one of two of the hotel's Starwood Preferred Guest floors -- which unfortunately appear, here at least, to offer no additional perks such as free newspapers or breakfast or a private lounge area.
