5. ) The other smoking area is located outside of the hotel in the front valet area, is very nicely appointed (think huge, lit candles, fluffed cushions and high-backed, private seating areas), and it was very relaxing to sit, watch the activity, take part in conversations and meet some wonderful people, to boot.

7. The bed and its linens are very comfortable, the iPod clock on the night table allows me to play my own music, the bathroom is huge, the deep jacuzzi type tub seats two and the separate living area has a comfortable sofa and an excellent work area that has plenty of power outlets.

8. I have stayed at a lot of hotels, in many places, but the treatment you receive at the Hotel Palomar is so above and beyond anything I have experienced that I would recommend this hotel to anyone, the fact that they are pet friendly is just a huge plus.
