8. We were advised we could 'open a window,' which wouldn't have been a problem except the hotel is smack dab in the middle of downtown, and is noisy enough outside without the added volume of new Year's Eve and tens of thousands of people gathering downtown for the fireworks.

9. I stayed at the Brookshire Suites new Year's Eve 2012 (December 31, 2011 to January 1, 2012) and I have to say I am shocked at how many positive reviews there are for this hotel.
