1. If they were doing work, however, that would have been news to me, as I did not hear anything during my stay, and I was on the 13th floor.

5. The bed was SUPER comfy, the location was amazing for us (1 block from 6th), the room was clean - reception told us they were newly renovated rooms, and they were renovating at the time.

6. I spoke to the new manager the following day - Roger, who said yes indeed they had the room we originally reserved and they would put a rush on it for us (nice job Roger).

8. Whose fingers (or worse) have touched that stuff before me?? The desk clerk did admit to me that some rooms have been renovated, but he quickly followed up with the disclaimer that 'but the only things that are new are the carpet and the decor on the walls.
