2. I totally expected to pay what we did (and actually, we got a pretty good deal when we booked at $800 for 4 nights / 5 days), because I know Disneyland and the surrounding area is going to be inflated, just because of what it is.

4. Although it is still priced far higher than the independent 'good neighbor' hotels nearby, the proximity to the parks, consistent theme, and extras such as Magic Mornings and park access through the Grand Californian make it worth it.

7. We were able to go over and use the Disneyland Hotel pool which is a fantastic pool, but it would have been good to have the convenience of just riding our elevator down a few floors to the pool and the kids could see the pool out our hotel window and really wanted to try it.
