I stayed here for 10 days while on a work assignment in downtown and surrounding areas,close to all,every night I walked to Trader Joes up the street a couple blocks no problems,nice brkfst every morning,free secure parking is a big ++as i had a car,kinkos not far for printing alot or use pc&printer @ hotel,free wifi,nice clean room w/fridgeµ.

8. What I don't like is the surrounding area, We didn't feel safe when we went outside in the nights but I feel in any other big city in US, it would be same.

10. If you are from a small town, traveling to a big city might be nerve racking in which case ALL areas in San Francisco will seem scary but this is definately NOT a bad area.
