1. (btw I did go down to ask if we could have the bigger room instead but they apparently had none left by the time I got down) another thing was our travel agent couldn't book more than the 'run of the house room' so even if I wanted to pay for a big room in the courtyard (back of the hotel) I couldn't, that was why I was hoping for a upgrade or something.

2. My hubby convinced me it wasn't too bad and I do appreciate big bathrooms and plus we didn't spend a whole lot of time in the room so I didn't dwell on it too much.

4. It had a big comfortable bed, flat screen tv, a sofa and chair, a chest of drawers, a small wardrobe and a desk.

5. For 200/night in SF, I don't expect a big room, but how hard is it to provide basic comforts, like safe heating when the temp is in the low 40's and some sort of noise guard? Also, possibly related to the Thai restaurant below, there were occasional fruit flies.
