1. It is a little piece of 'Olde England' attached to the hotel, and it's friendliness was reminiscent of 'Cheers' -- a terrific place to wind up for a toddy or two before heading upstairs.

3. My wife and I recently attended a play in SF ('Jersey Boys', terrific) and wanted a reasonably priced hotel in the theatre district; the Beresford Hotel filled the bill.
