We got put into a room at the far end of the building which had a big fan/compressor making the most horrendous noise right outside the window, after being told by somebody on reception that it will be turned off by the time we go to bed, this did not happen and it was still going at 2am in the morning.

4. The price is unbelievably low for the quality of service and comfort, especially if you like small, historic, interesting hotels, rather than the homogeneous big box chains.

5. Staff very helpful and even allowed us into the room at 9am when wearrived with two big suitcases.

6. The rooms are very simple -- you have an actual door key for your room, no AC, a bathroom just big enough for a shower stall, sink, and toilet, a decent bed, and a 20 year old TV.
