1. The fifth floor includes a lounge and restaurant - really quite excellent and they have free wine from 5-6 pm daily.

4. Kimpton means free Internet ,free happy hour and one or two other treats on arrival if you are a member( easy online sign up)This hotel is in an excellent position for the conference centre and town shopping and on public transport to the ferry building and fisher mans wharf.

8. Lastly, despite really excellent service throughout, the valet at the very end of my stay was practically catatonic when I was leaving (ina rush, no less) and didn't offer to assist with luggage despite a pretty generous tip.

10. All of the guest rooms have comfortable furniture, great beds, excellent amenities, nice bathrooms (some with terrific soaking tubs) and hip, modern decor.
