5. Personally I think that across the states you get to stay in plenty of modern large hotels, so having a hotel with more old-school character makes a nice change.

8. Good food in Lucque's (also nice bar), next door to Sear's (incredible food) and near diners, Chinese, sushi, and anything you can name.
