We did the trip to Alcatraz which was good (pre book before you go as it gets really busy) but the best activity we did was to hire bikes (expensive but worth it) and cycle across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito - which is a
beautiful
place.

Riding over the bridge is just something you need to do, it's a great fun experience and a
beautiful
ride ( my bf even proposed while we were stopped on the bridge :) ) I would also recommend walking to the Ferry Terminal and buying fresh bread and cheese and having a picnic where you can find a spot.
