I have always wanted to stay at the Tides hotel, I stay on Ocean Drive, South Beach each year for my holiday, we have been going there for more than 15 years now and I have always wanted to stay at the Tides since it opened, we got a great deal through ebookers so we managed to get 5 nights there for a reasonable rate, the hotel is outstanding since its makeover a while ago, gone is the clinical stark feel, in are stunning rugs,bathrooms, bedding and warmth with stunning hospitality, the 'butlers' look after everything for you, a welcome drink on arrival, pool butlers around the pool, the food by the way around the pool is gorgeous, I have a bad back and unfortunately it took a bad turn for the worse whilst I was there due to the flight and the hotel could not do enough for me, all rooms face the ocean, ours was a little noisy due to the bar next door but it stopped about midnight(amazing for Miami.
