1. We parked at a Public Parking lot right next to Hotel 71,it was much cheaper than the hotel's lot.

2. and found the River Hotel next door with slightly cheaper rates- However, in comparison, River Hotel had much smaller rooms and they were missing the nice decor, no friendly doorman, had to wait in a line at the checkout counter.

3. save on parking -- there's a lot 2 doors down from the hotel you can park 24 hrs for $28 (cheaper than the hotel's $45) -- the doorman pointed us the way - which was very kind of him (told us the only downside was no in & out privledges - but that was fine with us) - all in all a good stay.

7. The staff were very friendly although we ate at the nearby Corner Bakery, which was not only cheaper than the hotel cafe but also had really drinkable tea (as far as any tea is drinkable in a paper cup.

8. The parking rates are Hotel 71 are $43 a night which is actually cheaper than some of the competitors in the area.
