1. First impressions were that it was a bit dated, but the friendly helpful staff, great location near lake, the loop, museums, spotless rooms, massive and extremely comfortable bed all helped to make it a brilliant stay.

5. We booked this hotel through our travel agent in Australia and were very impressed with the price, convenient location to tourist attractions and the cleanliness and service was fantastic.

8. The foyer, lifts, stairs and corridors were tired and needed updated and it was this that really gave us the first impression.
