1. I would stay here if I came for fun; they have a beautiful new pool and very close to many tourist destinations I have visited.

We went for a lovely meal in Tavern on the Park total cost for 3 $160 Try Bennigans a few stops away from hotel get of the bus at Madison same meal for 3 plus dessert $90 Also we had a nice meal in Elephant and Castle on State St down towards the river We went to see the Jersey Boys (Frankie Valli and the four seasons life story) was very good Tommy Guns garage was a fun night out .

We found the pool to be very clean and the temperature good, the room was clean and comfortable, the staff very friendly and helpful to both my son and myself, directing us to good food and fun sights, my son said that he wants to come to Chicago often and he feels the only place to stay is at the essex inn.
