2. We enjoyed a quiet, pleasant stay at Homewood Suites, which is conveniently located off Mag Mile, directly across from Nordstorm and an easy walk from the two big museums.

3. A subway stop is down the street -- you can take it all over the City and (sometimes with bus) to the big museums (Field, Aquarium, Science/Industry).

Since it was 5:00 pm my children and I headed back down to the sixth floor for the manager reception where I was expecting to be served chips and gum drops, but instead we helped ourselves to nice, crisp salad greens with all the trimmings, potato wedges, big hot dogs (I think it was opening day at the ballpark in Chicago), and for dessert , warm, chocolate chip cookies straight from the oven.

5. Room smaller than other Homewood Suites we have stayed in (but I guess smaller rooms are common in big cities.

6. Overall, the hotel does exactly what you need in a big city - provides a clean bed when you are exhausted after sightseeing, and a plentiful breakfast to set you up for the next day's activities, and this for a reasonable price.

10. They do offer a diner M-F each night but with being in a great restaurant city like Chicago, we splurged for eating out (By the way, I highly recommend the big Bowl Thai restaurant nearby.
