1. It was not the high level of service they provided that impressed us but their ability to relate to everyone in our party weather it was their 10th or their 1st tie to New York.

3. I very much enjoyed the classic yet contemporary feel in the rooms and was impressed with how the bathrooms had been reconfigured.

I have to say that I was impressed that the hotel still maintains its 'old-world' charm by employing elevator operators (who couldn't be more friendly) and by having maintained most of the architectural details during its recent renovation (I really enjoyed that they still have a functional mail chute, expansive marble lobby, and crown moldings throughout the building).
