There are many great restaurants in the neighbourhood, including cafe metro and various diners for a cheap quick breakfast and then nice restaurants for a more relaxed breakfast/brunch and supper - we loved Rue 57 on 57th &6th, and also the famous oyster bar on 7th Avenue right across the street from the hotel.

8. The hotel itself appears to have been newly refurbished, the bathrooom fittings are lovely and the shower even on the 42nd floor was really powerful.
