4. On a side note, I discovered that one of the concierge was someone I knew from my stays at the Casablanca Hotel who previously impressed me with her thoughtful and efficient service, and bright smile and warm greeting each time.

6. My mum is quite disabled and can only walk a few steps but nothing was too much trouble for the staff, who were always genuinely friendly and gave you the impression they really did want to help.

8. Just after we arrived, the lights in one of the rooms failed for some reason, but a call to reception brought forth the repairman, who was with us in less than two minutes - pretty impressive.

10. Our impression of the Iroquois would have been much more positive if the single night could have been included in the package rate, given that we spent a total of 11 nights there.
