1. We looked and looked for a 4 star hotel in the theater district under $300/nt and, mainly because of Tripadvisor reviews (and price), we chose the Iroquois and we are so happy that we did.

From the moment we arrived until our departure home, the hotel staff was warm, friendly, very, very helpful, interested in us, what we were doing and where we were going, and very happy to provide recommendations for restaurants, travel routes, which store windows to visit, and anything else we needed help with.

10. The Iroquois was a happy surprise for us: we found this hotel was priced moderately, especially compared to its Hotel Row neighbors on 44th Street, and elegant in an understated way.
