1. The most exotic happy hour foods in Seattle - rabbit pate, fried smelt, lamb meatballs, etc goes beyond most happy hour fare.

2. Somehow despite having all the modcons you could want to keep you happy, the hotel has retained its original look and feel inside (think early 1900's glamour), and maintained it from the rooms to the public areas.

7. Chocolates were waiting for us inside the room, and a complimentary bottle of wine was delivered wishing us a happy anniversary several hours after we settled in.

8. The hotel has its own bar and restaurant, so we enjoyed a drink during happy Hour (half off on wine and beer) in their clubby Fireside Room, with its tiled open fireplace and mahogany-panelled walls.

10. The breakfast was excellent also and plus they have a nice happy hour in the lobby with the fireplaces glowing which can be handy during the wet weather that may great you while in Seattle.
