1. After much research and comparison with friends who have stayed in different hotels, Metropole is actually one of the cleaner ones in south beach.

3. We found Metropole for a LOWER rate (it was a Monday night, that might have helped) and not only did they have heated rooms but a very helpful and friendly staff, very modern rooms with huge flat screen tvs and comfortable bedding.

4. The problem was never resolved as they were unwilling to do so, and I cannot emphasize enough that this hotel is absolutely not worth staying at if you desire a friendly staff and do not wish to have your belongings stolen.

5. My friends expensive winter snow boots that she took off in the hotel room and left there for obvious reasons-We are from up north, she obviously had no reason to traipse around South Beach wearing thick snowboots.
