1. All the kitsch you could ever hope to buy is available in the Coconut Marketplace, and the food at the Huikelau (sp?) restaurant next door is fabulous.

4. The grounds are well maintained and the front desk staff were friendly and gave good dining recommendations all within walking distance (Monico's Taquiera - great mexican and fabulous margaritas).

7. The beach wasn't a fabulous stretch of gorgeous sand, but there were always lounges available, and you could walk in both directions for a while.

8. Hot, hot tub (sometimes hotels have lukewarm ones) was just fabulous to jump in when we returned from daily jaunts around the island and a small bar was a stone's throw from the tub with a friendly bartender.
