1. Considering there are few features to this 'resort' except a pool and the (public) beach, we feel this is a rip-off.

3. Built in the 70s and reno'd in 2003, the Islander has a decidedly shop-worn look, except for the grounds, which were quite attractive and well-maintained.

5. We parked in the parking area behind Trees in the Aston maintenance area and had no problems except on a night when Trees was very busy.

You had to go to the front desk to get tongs or a spatula for using the grills (there were three and they were nice except for the one with the gas leak) and most of the time they didn't have any utensils available because the ones that were turned in were soiled and were not cleaned until the next day.

8. It wouldn't be a big deal except that on nights where we parked somewhere like the curb, the front desk would call in the morning and tell us to move it.

9. For those writing poor reviews, sorry you are trying to quench your champagne tastes with a beer budget, but that just means you won't be returning, leaving more spots for us that know an exceptional deal when we see one.

10. Parking was always available except one night when we came back late from a Luau, but a security officer was there to give us a parking pass for the adjacent hotel lot, so it was no hassle.
