1. Well, I have stayed at the Park Central as a Priceline customer once and it was the shabbiest darkest room I have stayed in except for the Days Inn on Broadway.

2. It is a great location hence the very good rating you can see central park when you come out of the hotel, but rooms are basic and clean except for under the beds.

4. The room was small but you shouldn't be in the room except to change clothes, take showers (great water pressure) and to sleep (Bed was very comfortable).

5. New York was full, so we had no options, but we dreaded coming back to the place - no lounge, no bar, no restaurant except for a sleazy and equally dirty 'greasy spoon' affair underneath the hotel where the staff were even more rude.

6. Staff were nice, except the man in charge of the bell boys who didn't seem to do much, he wasn't helpful when we said we wanted an alternative to a taxi to the airport.

With the exception of the baths which have been redone , the rooms photograph a lot better than they really are but they were very clean and comfortable, and ultimately to be able to afford a clean and comfortable room in such a centrally located area is more important to us than a luxury room that you use for such a limited amount of time.
