6. Good things:* friendly & helpful staff* comfortable king-size bed with pillows of different sizes & types* quiet, clean room (other than a few leftover head-hairs in the bathroom sink & tub, which didn't bother me when compared to what some of the other reviewers wrote about)* nice outdoor pool with retractable roof* enormous (for a hotel) gym with 24 Life Fitness cardio machines, 12 Life Fitness strength-training machines, one dual-pulley Life Fitness station, one smith rack, 3 multi-adjustable benches, one BOSU, several padded mats, and a complete set of dumbbells from 5 to 50 pounds* access to the MARTA train's Peachtree Center station via a series of walkways that took us about 5 minutes to navigate* access to the Peachtree Center's mall-type food court for affordable eats (sushi, pizza, Thai food, sub sandwiches, Southern food, Chik-Fil-A, & one buffet-style hot bar)Not-so-good things:* no fridge or microwave in our room* we were told by several locals not to walk around the city at night, which is a bummer when you're in a conference all day and you'd like to roam around later during your free time (especially considering some of the awesome local food in Atlanta)* if you do go out for walks in downtown Atlanta, you can expect frequent solicitations for money and/or food from the city's apparently large homeless population.
