2. I would definitely come back to the JW Marriott the next time we go to O'ahu, but if you, like us, are more 'artistic' types, I would ask the staff in advance what to say if you are 'treated' to a 'security interrogation' by the Mickey Mouse Club.

4. We liked the Mexican restaurant just one block away, easy walking distance and much much less expensive.

8. we did drive to the North Shore and that felt like the real Hawaii with the natural beaches and big waves and we stopped ate some local fruit stands and bough fresh cut up fruit and had fresh cooked shrimp from Fumi's shrimp truck which was awesome.

9. My son loves the ocean and it's waves and even though the lagoon was right outside the resort and great for kids, there are no waves like a real ocean and we missed that.
