4. Then at breakfast he recieves continental breakfast and what has happened at the four other Starwood hotels is that if you decide to order off the menu - points are either added to your account or there is a price cut- but again it's s big aloha but NO from this Starwood management - As my partner says its lot the cost as much as it is a complete departure from the yes yes yes / the brand was built on and a standard that is very well in place at other locations- all it takes is one bad apple as they say well Royal management ALOHA also means GOODBYE-I M not even going to go on to the fact that this has all been going on sandwiched between outrigger hotel construction and a beach basically shut down because of beach refurbishment / yes a week that should have been spent making sure guests were treated even more sensitively because of these inconveniences is a lost opportunity by this property- Ok good points are THE STAFF they all do an outstanding job fielding complaints by hotel guests - of you think we are alone trust me we are not- I suppose the management considers this weeks guests expendable in the scheme of things - Pretty hotel - pretty awful Planning and execution by the property-If you read my other reviews I try and be fair - I am not angry just really sad that a week that my partner had wanted to share and wow me/us with has been a major dissappintment/Ps I am Writting this on my iPhone on a beach at a Wyndham property sorry for the typos - Aloha .

5. The first NO was that the beach chairs that have always been an incentive to stay here are now $40 A DAY - that started april 1 2012 - so on top of top of room rates that go from 350 /650 a night you have to pay to use thier previously included beach chairs- when we questioned it we were told 'all hotels ' are doing it- big mistake .

9. Readers should also note that the location is in tight, over-developed Waikiki area so do not expect the roominess & living area generosity as you would in Maui or the big Island with a comparable hotel rating.
