1. The hotel has a great location only 1 min from Ocean Drive, news Cafe, etc.
"Great location & hotel to explore SoBe " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/9/2010 Vote
2. The carpets in the hallway could use either a really good cleaning or new carpeting all together.
"Great Place to Stay! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/4/2010 Vote
3. The only criticism I would mention (and it's a minor one) is that the hallways and rooms could use a sprucing up - even a new paint job would help.
"Simply Excellent " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/14/2010 Vote
4. The hotel is in a prime location (on Collins, basically on top of The news cafe).
"Intimate luxury with attentive, laid-back staff " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/3/2010 Vote
5. Our room was nice size and newly refurbished.
"Cool spot right in the heart of South Beach " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/19/2010 Vote
6. This is an older building with only (I think) 4 stories, so don't expect it to be like the new hotels you may be use to in other places.
"Great art deco charm, location and service " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/7/2010 Vote
7. Being able to walk to news Cafe for breakfast every morning and to all of South Beach's great restaurants & shopping means we never need to rent a car when we visit.
"Another wonderful stay at The Hotel " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/6/2009 Vote
8. The pool area is lovely, very clean, towels provided etc, and there is an amazing sea view, the only small niggle was that the decking area is down wind of the kitchen exhaust chimney from a resturant on the front (The news Cafe - worth a visit) and there is a smell of fried food when the wind is coming on to the shore, but we were happy to go to the beach (only a 2 minute walk & the free sun loungers and umbrella provided by the hotel are a nice touch).
"Would definitely go back " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/4/2009 Vote
9. newly refurbished, this hotel with the strange name of 'The' is an absolute gem.
"Wonderful little boutique hotel " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/2/2009 Vote
10. The hotel seems to have old and new sections- I think the basic room gets put in the old.
"not bad but not the best either " Read full review on Travelocity   4/1/2009 Vote
