1. Everyone was courteous, friendly and polite - maintenance staff even opened up the locked ballroom where the Oscars were held for me to have a look.

2. The plusses: great location, nice food, a nice pool scene (before 10pm and then it's populated with stupid hipsters), good bedding, it's a grand historic hotel and the staff was courteous overall (especially considering they're all hip 20 something wannabes.
