3. The waves are not that big - our 6y found them fun, the 5y found them 'crazy scary daddy' but she warmed up and the 13y went out for long swims.

7. There are chairs and towels at the beach at the activity center that you can get and they have other fun stuff you can use in the water from noodles to snorkeling equipment.

If you like to cook for yourself every once in awhile and even be able to some laundry (some units have their own washer and dryer) stay at Kiahuna but do your research on the room as each one is decorated by the owner and can be very different =) have fun on your trip to Kauai, it's beautiful there.
