1. Unfortunately, the restaurant wasn't open yet, but I did go the 30 steps next door to the new Otani for some good food.

2. You can walk in about a minute to the beach at the Canoe Club and in about two minutes to the beach at Kaimana beach (the beach in front of the new Otani Hotel).

3. ) The onsite restaurant is not open yet (June 2012) but the Hau Tree is within 50 yards at the new Otani hotel - just make reservations in advance on Open Table as they honor those before honoring walk-ins and they are always packed.

5. This boutique hotel did not have a restaurant as it is apparently on hold with refurbishing; however, we walked to the hotel behind us and ate breakfast at the Hau Tree Lanie restaurant on the beach at the new Otani Hotel.

8. The view of Diamondhead and the ocean was tremendous, so we moved to the new room on 9th floor with no fuss.
