1. It's a little bit (1/4 mile) outside of Waikiki, which makes things much more quieter and enjoyable in my opinion.

4. Otherwise, I had an enjoyable stay at the Lotus and would recommend it to anyone who is looking to be away from the busy part of Kalakaua but still be able to walk to it within 15-20 min.
