1. Lobby design is very modern, and not reflective of the rooms at all (except perhaps the penthouse).

3. Once we got passed that we realized that we were going to be spending much time there except to sleep so it really didn't matter what the room looked like as long as there was no bugs.

7. Second, the rooms were old and tired, the hotel was built in the 70's and I'm sure the beds, tv, alarm clock, furniture, carpeting, holey curtains, linens (except the towels and face cloths) are also from the 70's.

8. All the fixtures, the hotel, restaurant - EVERYTHING (except for the lobby and the Penthouse) would be considered a 2-star hotel.

9. near everything and nice staff (except older desk lady) two people in their 20's on a honeymoon in hawaii would do good at the waikiki gateway as we did.

10. The cleaning lady on our floor was more than nice to us and very happy and greeted us with a smile everytime we seen her, which was everyday except for her monday and tuesday off .
