1. The Waikiki Gateway Hotel has the best rates in Waikiki, the location at the corner of Kuhio and Kalakaua is really the gateway to Waikiki and you walk across Fort DeRussy Park right to the beach in less than 15 minutes.

3. Make the best of it and appreciate that 1) Life is happening outside of your hotel and 2) It's better than so many other hotels in the world (I know, been to some really roach-infested and miasmatic environment hotels, and I survived and wasn't worse-off for it).

5. More disappointed at the fact that it was our 1yr anniversary & I had requested the best room available which they confirmed we would get, not so sure that was the best? Bathrooms are outdated, but they do the job.
