5. On a separate note, the staff at the tour desk (who I believe are non-hotel staff) were just plain lazy and presented the impression that they really did not want to help us book a luau excursion or find a particular tourist location let alone be at work.

7. We decided to stay here since we were on a budget and it was money well spent, Maile Sky is comparable to Motel 6 and staff is excellent, so helpful with things to do and more.

We were using a pre-paid sight seeing card called the Go Oahu Card, and when we went to the tour desk people for help or information, as soon as they found out we had to the Go Card (and therefore weren't going to give them a commission) They brushed us off, pointed us the concierge and couldn't get us away from the table fast enough.

10. we suspect they are on commission, so they really didn't bother to put any effort into helping us with our questions about transport etc.
