1. The hotel is undergoing a massive renovation project (it appeared to be largely completed except for some elevator work), and everything seemed nice and new.

6. San Francisco, Houston, Los Angeles, new York and Chicago all seem to, for whatever reason, have much better race-relations than does Atlanta, where passive-aggressiveness and a pointed lack of motivation seem to, for some reason, be the rule here rather than the exception.

8. Why have no employees working the kitchen at breakfast, but over-staff at midday in the parking lot? We got back to our room, and there was no new soap.

10. The public areas are clean and modern looking, our atrium room was spacious, newly appointed and very attractive, and the atrium itself still dazzles after all these years.
