2. I stayed at the Hotel Congress on the same weekend that there was a streetfair/'bar crawl containing numberous loud, amplified bands and tons of happy (and loud) attendees.

3. It is not a 'normal' modern hotel in the sense there is no tv in rooms, not the most quiet of places (nearby Amtrak means no afternoon snooze and the inhouse bar and club are loud unless you also go out), so is not for everyone.

4. The windows are old and don't close - and the noise from cars, buses, motorcycles - even conversations from people in the street below were so loud it was like there was no window at all.

5. The downside? If something really rockin' is going on at the Club downstairs, your room can be really, really loud.

6. I could see how it would get loud in the evenings because even when there is not a show the bar and the cup cafe were both very busy between 6pm and 9pm.

9. Hotel rooms are above the lobby and Club Congress, depending on the night and the music, it can be loud.
