1. I would think that it would help to soften the noise at the adult pool.

2. I don't know if the people underneath us could hear it but I did read in another review to ask for the 3rd floor b/c of overhead noise, maybe that is why.

3. Soon we hear some noises and below us about 12 javelinas (not wild pigs but in peccary family) were taking advantage of a water source.
