We switched from a national chain to the original Davenport using the 'getaway' package' which provides free valet parking and $100 credit per night for dining (4 options) plus bar and room service, very upscale, quiet on the north side, big room but small flat screen which was not a big issue for us will stay againfree wifi was very slow.

5. Mind you, the weekend we stayed there, there was a disabled veterans convention, which slowed down the elevators a lot, but I suspect that on even a "normal" weekend they could use more elevators.

8. The night I took my 21-year old daughter to the lobby to have a tea/dessert, it was very slow service getting waited on in the lobby seating area.
