4. On a slight downside, the lack of an in-room coffee maker made the procurement of coffee a little less pleasant for my aging and slightly frugal parents, who were not pleased that they had to purchase their cups of coffee from the downstairs espresso bar.

6. This is a very good hotel with nice rooms and they are rightly proud of their heritage - but we were surprised, given the overall standards of the hotel, that some features were lacking.

However, when a customer complains about getting bitten by these 'unwanted guests', how difficult would it be to offer some complimentary service such as laundering their clothes to allay the customer's fears about taking the 'unwanted guests' home with them? This lack of concern goes a long way in showing how the Davenport management feel about retaining their loyal customers.
