9. Are the complainers staying in a different Menger perhaps? The relatively recent history of the United States means that a hotel built in 1859 and still operating is incredibly old, by US standards.

10. not only was the room filthy but it was freezing, our heating was clearly not working, i complained to reception, their suggestion.
