1. It is possible that not all floors in this hotel are as shabby, but if this is representative of rooms available for the conference rate, then we were served badly.

2. My room was a double and was spacious with adequate furnishing, but the walls, carpets, bathroom tiling and fixtures were all shabby, stained with unrepaired holes in the wall.
