4. I think because Portland's downtown is trying so very hard to be trendy and sexy, that good solid choices for hotels like The Paramount can get overlooked, but if you can get a decent rate here this place is a really good choice.

5. Now you are close to Pioneer Square and within easy walking distance of the MAX light rail station but this is hardly a reason to stay at this particular hotel.
