1. The white duvet on our bed had some stains on it upon our arrival, the walls in the bathroom had a few stains, there was a stain in the ceiling above the shower where the drywall was peeling (like there had been a leak, and the ceiling was flaking apart), etc, etc, etc.

2. Surprisingly, the shower showed recent, awkward patching of the grout (next time, guys, hire a pro) and some peeling paint on the ceiling, but that might just be the cost of living in high humidity.
