1. When I called to ask why they weren't opening up the pool bar because many guests were complaining, I was told 'because it MIGHT rain and you can order room service at the pool anytime you want.

After returning home I found an email from the chief manager who, although he apologized for the inconvenience, also did not really hear the complaint and said no one had ever complained and all mattresses were the same as the other Peabody Hotel in Memphis (which I had stayed at two years before and it was delightful).
