3. I would definitely avoid Orlando in general when kids are out of school since the hotel was just utter pandemonium during breakfast times the weekend after Thanksgiving.

4. Would avoid the Ponderosa, always thought the Ponderosa was cheap and cheerful especially for families, well it is certainly not cheerful and in my opinion it has gone down hill badly.

5. Overall, this is a great place to stay especially if you want to avoid driving on holiday and hopefully the refurbishment will address the tired dated look of the Hotel.

6. The room was clean, bed was comfortable & it was very convenient having full size fridge to keep stocked with cold drinks & avoid paying theme park prices.

7. Tip for people staying: you can get to the hotel by cutting through the parking lot of the Springfield Suites/Hampton Inn on Universal Blvd (this avoids i-Drive and gets you to Universal much quicker).
