1. It is a comfortable walk to the park (15 minutes) for those who do not drive and definitely much quieter compared to the theme hotels (which are more expensive and filled with the overflow of crowds after the parks close).

2. One disppointment is the cost of the hotel's shuttle bus to Disney as it is very expensive at $18.

3. However I would recommend that you hire a car to get around as I Drive is quite big however there is the I Drive Trolley which takes you too and from parks but can get very expensive if you used it every day for a family.

4. We were fairly fortunaqte to experience fairly fast queue times which meant paying for a taxi to get back- it was not over expensive and saved hanging around for 3 hours or so.

5. We actually stayed in a more expensive hotel on i-Drive 8 years ago but much preferred this particular hotel.

6. We tried Sizzlers one morning as a change but becasue of the queues and expense we were very happy to be have the option of a free breakfast in our own hotel.

We ate off the tourist track, for those who are interested--all these places had good food & were recommended on Yelp:Nile Ethiopian Cuisine, 7040 International Drive (near hotel)--eat with your hands, the kids will love itPadrino's Cuban Bistro, 13586 Village Park Dr @ John Young Pkwy-- a bit far from the Fairfield hotel, but good foodAnatolia Mediterranean Cuisine, 7600 Dr Phillips Blvd #108 (other side of I-4)-- expensive, but you've never had a kabob platter like this.
